OHF's Doc Hart and Virginia Xavier had the privilege of meeting hilarious comedic actor Rob Riggle of The Hangover and Step Brothers fame to name a few at the Legends For Learners VIP Event this past weekend in support of TEPF. Rob Riggle, is not only an amazing actor and stand-up comedian, he's a true gentleman and a US Marine officer who was deployed multiple times and was also a 9/11 first responder. A fantastic night was had by all at his fireside chat moderated by the one-and-only radio personality legend Gerry Forbes of CJAY-92 fame. Our OHF crew (Doc Hart, Oje, Virginia, Pina, Deanna, and Jimmy Lee) recently spent a day volunteering in beautiful Waterton Lakes National Park alongside the Wilder Institute’s Calgary Zoo Conservation Team and Parks Canada! 🌿 The group tackled an important conservation mission: removing invasive spotted knapweed to help protect critical habitat for the Curiously Isolated Hairstreak butterfly, one of Canada’s rarest butterflies! 🦋 Making a difference for wildlife can start with something as simple as pulling a weed (or maybe a few thousand 😉). Every invasive plant removed gives native plants a chance to thrive and helps create a healthier home for the incredible species that depend on these landscapes.
